Lepanam is an Upakrama (subsidiary therapy) involving the topical application of freshly prepared herbal paste over affected areas. It is predominantly used in Shotha (inflammation) and Twak Vikara (skin disorders).

Physiological Action (Kriya): 

The herbs’ anti-inflammatory and analgesic components penetrate through the skin layers, promoting local vasodilation and detoxification. The Ruksha (dry) and Ushna (hot) properties reduce Ama and Kapha accumulation in joints and tissues.
