Stye / Chalazion (Anjananamika / Kumbhika)
A small painful swelling on the eyelid caused by infection or blockage of sebaceous glands. Known as Anjananamika in Ayurveda, often due to Kapha-Pitta aggravation.
Symptoms:
- Red, painful swelling on eyelid
- Tenderness and discharge
- Difficulty in blinking
Ayurvedic Management:
- Lepa (Herbal Paste): Application of Haridra, Triphala, Nimba paste.
- Eye Wash: With Triphala decoction.
- Internal Medicines: Triphala Guggulu, Manjisthadi Kashaya.
- Diet: Avoid fried, oily, or sweet foods.
