Tamakaswasa is a chronic respiratory disorder caused by the vitiation of Kapha and Vata doshas, leading to airway constriction, mucus blockage, and breathlessness.

Causes (Nidana):

  • Exposure to dust, cold, smoke, and allergens
  • Indigestion, accumulation of Ama
  • Excessive intake of cold, oily, heavy food
  • Mental stress and irregular sleep

Symptoms (Lakshana):

  • Wheezing and breathlessness
  • Cough with thick phlegm
  • Chest tightness, difficulty in lying down
  • Fatigue and disturbed sleep
