According to Ayurveda, food is medicine (Ahara is the foundation of health). Proper diet nourishes Dhatus, balances Doshas, strengthens immunity, and supports longevity.
Key Principles of Ayurvedic Diet:
- Tridosha Balance (Vata, Pitta, Kapha):
- Vata type: Warm, oily, moist, and grounding foods
- Pitta type: Cooling, mildly spiced, and moderate in quantity
- Kapha type: Light, dry, and stimulating foods
- Six Tastes (Shad Rasa):
- Sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, astringent
- Include all tastes in moderation to nourish body and mind

- Proper Meal Timing:

- Main meal during midday (Agni is strongest)
