Cervical Spondylosis (Griva Sandhigata Vata)

Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative disorder of the cervical spine causing neck pain and stiffness.
In Ayurveda, it is termed Griva Sandhigata Vata, due to Vata accumulation in the neck region.

Symptoms: 

  • Neck pain radiating to shoulders or arms
  • Numbness or tingling sensation
  • Reduced flexibility and stiffness

Ayurvedic Management:

  • Abhyanga: Gentle oil massage with Dhanwantharam Thailam or Mahanarayana Thailam.
  • Swedana: Patra Pinda Swedam (Ela Kizhi) or Podi Kizhi for relief.
  • Greeva Basti: Retaining warm medicated oil on the neck region.
  • Nasya (Nasal Therapy): Clears Vata from head and neck channels.
  • Internal Medicines: Sahacharadi Kashayam, Yogaraja Guggulu, Erandamoola Taila.
