Hypertension (Rakta Gata Vata / Raktachapa Vriddhi)

Hypertension is described in Ayurveda as Rakta Gata Vata, where aggravated Vata dosha disturbs the normal flow of Rakta (blood), increasing pressure in the arteries.
Contributing factors include stress, excessive salt, suppressed emotions, and irregular lifestyle.
