Acid Peptic Disorder / Hyperacidity (Amlapitta)
Amlapitta is caused by vitiation of Pitta dosha leading to excessive acid production, burning sensation, and sour belching. It results from irregular meals, spicy food, stress, and suppressed hunger.
Symptoms:
- Heartburn and acid reflux

- Sour belching and bitter taste
- Epigastric pain and restlessness
Ayurvedic Management:
The focus is on Pitta shamana (cooling) and Agni balance.
- Internal Medicines: Avipathi Choornam, Amalaki Rasayana, Kamdudha Ras, Sutshekhar Ras.
- Dravyas: Guduchi, Amalaki, Yashtimadhu, Shatavari.
- Panchakarma: Virechana (therapeutic purgation) to eliminate aggravated Pitta.
