Gastritis (Urdhwaga Amlapitta)

A condition of upward movement of aggravated Pitta, leading to inflammation of the stomach lining. Associated with poor diet, stress, and irregular eating.

Symptoms: 

  • Burning sensation in stomach
  • Sour belching, nausea, vomiting
  • Headache and irritability

Ayurvedic Management:

  • Pitta-Pacifying Herbs: Guduchi, Amalaki, Yashtimadhu, Mustha.
  • Internal Medicines: Avipathi Choornam, Sutshekhar Ras, Dhatri Lehyam.
  • Diet: Cooling, non-spicy, milk-based diet.
  • Panchakarma: Virechana for Pitta elimination.
