Tamakaswasa is a chronic respiratory disorder caused by the vitiation of Kapha and Vata doshas, leading to airway constriction, mucus blockage, and breathlessness.
Causes (Nidana):
- Exposure to dust, cold, smoke, and allergens
- Indigestion, accumulation of Ama
- Excessive intake of cold, oily, heavy food
- Mental stress and irregular sleep
Symptoms (Lakshana):
- Wheezing and breathlessness
- Cough with thick phlegm
