Psoriasis (Eka Kushta / Kitibha Kushta
Psoriasis is correlated with Eka Kushta, a type of Kshudra Kushta (minor skin disease), primarily caused by Vata–Kapha imbalance and accumulation of Ama in the skin layers.
Causes (Nidana):
- Irregular diet (mixing milk & fish, incompatible foods)
- Chronic stress, lack of sleep
- Exposure to cold and dry conditions
- Suppressed natural urges
Symptoms:
- Dry, scaly patches on skin
- Itching, burning, or cracking of skin
- Scaling of scalp, elbows, knees
