Psoriasis (Eka Kushta / Kitibha Kushta

Psoriasis is correlated with Eka Kushta, a type of Kshudra Kushta (minor skin disease), primarily caused by Vata–Kapha imbalance and accumulation of Ama in the skin layers.

Causes (Nidana):

  • Irregular diet (mixing milk & fish, incompatible foods)
  • Chronic stress, lack of sleep
  • Exposure to cold and dry conditions
  • Suppressed natural urges

Symptoms:

  • Dry, scaly patches on skin
  • Itching, burning, or cracking of skin
  • Scaling of scalp, elbows, knees
