Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (Mutraghata)

Mutraghata corresponds to enlargement of the prostate gland, leading to obstruction in urine flow. It results from Vata-Kapha aggravation and poor elimination of toxins.

Symptoms:

  • Difficulty in urination
  • Weak urine stream
  • Sense of incomplete emptying
  • Nocturia (frequent urination at night)

Ayurvedic Management:

  • Panchakarma:
    • Uttaravasti and Basti with Sahacharadi Taila or Bala Taila
  • Internal Medicines:
    • Gokshuradi Guggulu, Chandraprabha Vati, Varunadi Kashaya, Punarnava Mandura
  • Dhathri Therapies:
    • Prostate Care Programme, Mutravaha Srotas Shuddhi
