Kidney Stones (Ashmari)

In Ayurveda, kidney stones are called Ashmari, formed due to Kapha and Vata imbalance that causes crystallization of minerals in urinary channels.

Symptoms:

  • Sharp pain in lower back or abdomen
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Blood in urine
  • Burning and frequent urination

Ayurvedic Management:

  • Therapies:
    • Uttaravasti with Ksheerabala Taila or Dashamoola Taila
    • Basti (medicated enema) – to balance Vata and aid stone expulsion
  • Internal Medicines:
    • Pashanabheda, Varuna, Gokshura, Punarnava, Trinapanchamoola Kashaya, Chandraprabha Vati
  • Dhathri Therapies:
    • Renal Detox Programme, Mutrashuddhi Chikitsa
