Kati Vasti (Lumbar Oil Retention Therapy)

Kati Vasti is a localized Snehana–Swedana therapy where warm medicated oil is retained over the lumbar region within a dough boundary. It targets Vata dosha located in the Kati Pradesh (lower back) and Asthi–Majja Dhatus.

Physiological Action (Kriya): 

The retained oil penetrates deep into the tissues, improving intervertebral lubrication and relieving muscle spasm. It supports spinal alignment and improves Apana Vata function.
